Here at WKTB, we want the weekend actions to be simple, short and sweet. So for the first of the Saturday Sweet and Simple Actions:
Let’s all spread the word that Open Enrollment for Obamacare ends this Tuesday, January 31st by posting to social media and calling our parents and grandparents (lest they don’t follow you on “The Tweeter”) so that those who need it most aren’t left out in the cold… and then get sick from it… and then can’t afford it.
Usually emails and ads are dispersed in the days leading up to the deadline but on Thursday, Politico broke the news that The White House pulled all ads and emails (even those already placed paid for) that were to remind people to sign up for Obamacare before open enrollment ends Tuesday, January 31st.
“It is also halting all media outreach designed to spur signups in the days leading up to the deadline. Emails are no longer being sent out to individuals who visited HealthCare.gov, the enrollment website, to encourage them to finish signing up. Those emails had proven highly successful in getting stragglers to complete enrollment before the deadline.” – Paul Demko of Politico
